If you know Lisa, then you know she is a quiet and reserved person. When the clock counts down 3-2-1 GO, the quiet and reserved Lisa takes a temporary leave of absence. She becomes energetic and aggressive with her task at hand, whether that be the strength work or WOD. Lisa demonstrates an incredible work ethic every time she walks through our doors. She gives her all on every WOD. Lisa is always striving to improve her strength & skills by being a staple in our 6pm class making it in up to 4x per week. She is very coachable, has a willingness to learn and puts in the work necessary to get better. It’s that type of coachability and dedication that will ensure she continues to get a little better everyday and the reason why she is our featured athlete for the month of April. Congrats Lisa!

We asked her a series of questions to find out a bit more and here is what she had to say.

*How long have you been CrossFitting?
8 months
*What was your driving factor for starting CrossFit?
To be healthier overall and lose weight.
*What are your goals for 2019?
Pull-ups & Handstand Push-Ups
*What has been your biggest challenge you have had to overcome since starting CrossFit?
Making it to the gym on time since I drive from Gainesville.
*What is your favorite WOD or movement?
Deadlift
*What is your least favorite WOD or movement?
Snatches & Assault Bike
*What is your most memorable moment in CrossFit?
I don’t really have a memorable moment but I do love how when I come to the gym I feel welcomed, comfortable and can have fun while working out.
*What advice would you give others just starting out in CrossFit?
Keep at it. Even on days when you don’t want to. I have definitely noticed improvement on multiple things since starting 8 months ago and so can you.
